Father’s Day is always a trial for me. I struggle to think of a single thing to buy my dad and I always fall in for the familiar trap of last minute shopping and cheap gift-packs at large department stores. Some dads are harder to buy for than others. One celebrity dad I think would be a particularly hard one to shop for is Orlando Bloom. I’m sure among her other amazing talents, I am sure Miranda Kerr has been gifted with the amazing ability to pick the perfect gift, but I am not so blessed. While baby Flynn has got a while before he has to worry about the pressure of the perfect Father’s Day gift, some of us aren’t so lucky.
If your dad has a little bit of that cool Orlando vibe, don’t get sucked into the typical Father’s Day gifts. It might be the thought that counts, but nobody really wants cheap chocolates. This year, I’m going to opt for something a little more stylish.
If your dad travels around like Orlando does, chances are he needs a little organisation in his life. The super sleek and painfully stylish Cellini ‘Durban’ wallet in Black is perfect for the dad on the go. Its larger size means he can stuff everything he needs in there, from plane tickets to business cards. It’s also made of leather, durable and strong so he won’t ever have it break on him. Another durable leather product is the Rodd & Gunn ‘R&G Dargaville’ in Brown. It’s a little pricey, but if you and your siblings are looking to split a gift this is the one for you. With plenty of room for everything dad needs for an overnight stay and a great detachable strap, this is one present that is going to stick around for years to come.
If your dad sports casual wear more than business wear, a good pair of casual shoes is a great investment. The Native ‘Jefferson’ in Black Solid is a great choice for a cool dad. The colour is guaranteed to slip easily into their wardrobe and the durable synthetic materials are not only long lasting, it’s also ready for anything dad can throw at it. He can rock these babies from the beach to the bar with a quick rinse off in between and they’ll match everything, shorts to jeans. The best bit? Because StyleTread have free delivery and returns you don’t have to fork out for shipping, or returning a product if it doesn’t fit. So you know exactly how much you’re paying. I will definitely be telling my sister I had to pay shipping though, and I will not judge you if you do the same.
